What began as Days for Girls has evolved into certifying and training teachers, 10-hour menstrual health education for girls, and women’s entrepreneurships to provide sustainable menstrual management tools. Local donations are used only for services in Lake Chapala.
Reimbursement of medical expenses for Mexican children. A variety of additional programs, including a children’s feeding program and kidney dialysis services, are provided in this impoverished community.
“Doorway to English” provides English classes to Mexican children and adults living in the Lake Chapala villages at sites in both San Juan Cosalá and El Chante.
Provides scholarships to low-income students from kindergarten through high school throughout the Lake Chapala region. Both new and refurbished computers and tablets are also provided to students through the SAFE scholarship program.
Contributions are used for vital health and human care services. The allocation of this gift to organizations listed in this section will be determined by the Board of Directors.
