Why Days for Girls?
Every girl and woman has inherent worth and dignity.  Days for Girls celebrates this by providing sustainable feminine hygiene solutions and health education to girls in need at Lake Chapala.  When girls and women have health, education, and opportunity, communities and our world are stronger.
Local volunteers make hand sewn washable menstrual pads and personal care kits that provide sustainable hygiene solutions to allow girls to stay in school.   Each girl who receives a kit also receives a message that she is seen, valued and loved.

Each DFG kit contains washable pads (made of two parts, a shield and a liner) as well as a washcloth, underwear, soap, and other essentials for each woman or girl to ensure her needs are met.

Along with a kit, each girl also receives an extensive educational component that covers hygiene, health and reproduction, family and community violence, unwanted pregnancies and general empowerment.
Please help us ensure that every girl has what she needs to succeed.

Every girl.  Everywhere.  Period.
